This pumpkin pie recipe is foolproof—no cracks, just a perfect, silky slice every time. It’s the ideal balance of sweetness, making it a holiday favorite!

Ingredients 

  • 1 15 oz can pumpkin puree
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp fresh nutmeg, grated
  • tsp Chinese 5-spice powder
  • 1 9-inch unbaked pie crust

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Whisk together pumpkin, egg yolks, and egg in a large bowl until smooth.
  • Add sweetened condensed milk, cinnamon, ginger, salt, nutmeg, and Chinese 5-spice powder. Whisk until thoroughly combined.
  • Pour filling into crust.
  • Lightly tap on the counter to release air bubbles.
  • Bake in oven for 15 minutes.
  • IMPORTANT: Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake until just set in the middle, 30-40 more minutes. You will know it is done when the middle of the pie is no longer runny and is firm to the touch.
  • Allow to cool completely before serving.
