Harissa Prawns
Ingredients
Marinade:
- 3 lbs prawns, whole, with head on
- 10 oz jar harissa paste
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp garlic salt
- 1 Tbsp sumac
Ingredients:
- 8 cloves garlic , chopped
- 1 large shallot, chopped
- ½ lemon, juiced
- 4 Tbsp unsalted butter
Optional garnish:
- cucumber tzatziki
Instructions
- Marinate prawns with all the marinade ingredients and set aside for one hour.
- In a large skillet, on medium high heat, add 1 Tbsp cooking oil and 2 Tbsp butter along with garlic and shallots. Cook for 30 seconds.
- Add marinated prawns and cook for 5 minutes, turning them over halfway.
- Add lemon juice and remaining 2 Tbsp of butter. Cook for another couple minutes until shrimp is cooked. Serve immediately.
- I love adding a big dollop of cucumber tzatziki and eating it with shrimp.
