Shrimp & Pork Wonton – Hoanh Thanh Tom Thit
These dumplings are fantastic whether you have them in soup, with egg noodles, or fried up with a sweet and sour sauce for dipping. No matter how you choose to enjoy them, each bite is sure to be a hit!
Ingredients
Filling:
- ¼ lb ground pork
- ¾ lb shrimp, chopped
- 1 Tbsp fish sauce
- ½ cup jicama, minced
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp chives , chopped
- ½ Tbsp corn starch
- 1 Tbsp mushroom powder
Ingredients:
- 50 wonton skins
- kosher salt
- sesame oil
Instructions
- Mix all flling ingredients together.
- Put 1 teaspoon of filling into each wonton skin.
- Fold wonton skin halfway in the shape of a triangle and bunch the top together to create a pouch.
- In a pot, boil water with some salt and sesame oil.
- Cook wontons in boiling water for 3 minutes. You’ll know it’s ready when the wontons float to the surface.
