Ingredients
115 oz canpumpkin puree
3egg yolks
1large egg
114 oz cansweetened condensed milk
1tspground cinnamon
½tspground ginger
½tspkosher salt
¼tspfresh nutmeg, grated
⅛tspChinese 5-spice powder
19-inchunbaked pie crust
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Whisk together pumpkin, egg yolks, and egg in a large bowl until smooth.
Add sweetened condensed milk, cinnamon, ginger, salt, nutmeg, and Chinese 5-spice powder. Whisk until thoroughly combined.
Pour filling into crust.
Lightly tap on the counter to release air bubbles.
Bake in oven for 15 minutes.
IMPORTANT: Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake until just set in the middle, 30-40 more minutes. You will know it is done when the middle of the pie is no longer runny and is firm to the touch.
